Elizabeth Jane George, 87, of White Stone, Va. died July 11, 2014. She was born May 6, 1927 to the late Mary and Emory Carroll Pittman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Judson H. George.

She is survived by a daughter, Sheila George Hanley (David); a grandson, Chris Hanley; two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Catherine Jane Hanley all of White Stone, Va. She is also survived by a sister, Elsie P. Rose of Salem, Va.; a brother, Peyton Pittman (Irene) of Irvington, Va. and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 13, 2014 at White Stone United Methodist Church, White Stone, Va. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Currie Funeral Home, Sunday, prior to the service.
