Obituary for James Arrington "Jack" Davis Sr.

James “Jack” Arrington Davis, Sr., 91, of Kilmarnock died peacefully on August 14, 2014. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and owner/operator of Davis Service Company, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, who serviced many crab and oyster companies in the area. He could be seen around the area in his tan van, license plate “MR COOL 1”.

He is survived by his wife of 43years, Pat Davis; daughter, Jackie Lee (Jim) of Plano, Texas; son, James A. Davis, Jr. of Springfield, Va.and daughter, Jamie Crawford Tate (Richard) of Aylett, Va.; grandchildren, Justin and Jeremy Tate, Brent and Shawn Walker, Jennifer Dostalik, David and Michael Lee ; eight great-grandchildren and special niece, Tena Marangi of Locust Grove, Va. He was preceded in death by his children, Stephen Davis and Patricia Walker.

Jack came to the Northern Neck in 1965 as a weekend resident. After retiring from Shenandoah’s Pride Dairy in Springfield, Jack, his wife and daughter, Jamie moved to the area permanently. He loved Kilmarnock and the Northern Neck where now he will rest peacefully.

He attended St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where his service will held 11:00 a. m. Saturday, August 30, 2014 with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
