Virginia May Ruddell, 76, devoted mother, wife, grandmother, sister, friend and caretaker went home to be with the Lord on August 23, 2014 at her home in Weems, Virginia surrounded by loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Ruddell and a foster son, David P. Dasch. Surviving are three daughters, Virginia MacLelland and husband, John of Mechanicsville, Va., Deborah Scott and husband, Ken of Braunfels, Texas and Shirley Gary and husband, Bill of Weems, Va. She also leaves behind six sisters; one brother; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; an adopted son, David A. Dasch of Canada and four foster sons, Thomas F. Jeter of Gloucester, Robert E. Dasch of Maryland, James E. Dasch of Morattico and William F. Dasch of Morattico.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m. Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Warsaw Church of God. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2:00 p. m at the church.
