Winterfred Dawson Cordrey, 77, died on September 9, 2014. She was a school teacher in Lancaster and Northumberland County for 47 Years.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Lee Cordrey and her son, Jeffrey Cordrey.

Winterfred was a former leader of Fairfields Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Director, VBS Director, Clerk and she was the first woman to be elected as a Deacon.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m. Saturday, September 13 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment will follow the service at Fairfields Baptist Church Cemetery, Burgess. Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. Friday, September 12 at the funeral home.
