Shirley Benson Forrester, 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Irvington, Va. on February 20, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Irene Benson; and her sister, Joyce B. Keyser.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph W. Forrester; daughters Cindy Forrester of Newport News and Amanda Molineaux and her husband, Michael, of White Stone; two cherished grandchildren, Riley and Ashton Molineaux; her sisters, Rebecca (Phil) Cross III and Jean (Hobson) Walker; and aunt, Ruby Abbott; brothers-in-law, George (Ernestine) Forrester, Kenneth Forrester, and Milton (Janis) Forrester; and numerous other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 24 at Irvington Baptist Church, Irvington, Va. with interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior to the service.
