Robert L. Granacher, 89, of Kilmarnock went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2015.
He was born October 14, 1925, in Johnson City, N.Y., to LeRoy and Marion Granacher.
He was a graduate of Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon, Tenn., the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and was a World War II veteran.
He was employed by Bendix Aviation and Fasco while he and his wife, the former Mary Lou L'Hommedieu, lived in the Binghamton, N.Y., area and Fayetteville, N.C., before settling in Williamsville, N.Y., for 29 years to raise their family. Bob retired from MeadWestvaco in Buffalo, N.Y., after 31 years of service. He and Mary Lou then moved to Atlantic Beach, Fla., for 13 years, then to Kilmarnock in 2002. All the while, he enthusiastically worked to improve his golf game. He was a member of Wesley Presbyterian Church in Weems.
Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Lou; his son, Scott Granacher (Betsy) of St. Augustine, Fla.; his daughter, Debra Gibbs (Joseph) of Reedville; and grandchildren, Mitch Goewey of Lancaster, Va., and Lynette Granacher of St. Augustine, Fla.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at Wesley Presbyterian Church.
