Charles “Chuck” Harris Rowell, 91, of Kilmarnock, Va. died March 22, 2015. He is survived by grandchildren, Briana Leigh Rowell and Charles Michael Rowell;daughter-in-law, Delora Rowell; niece, Audrey King; sister-in-law, Norah Butler; brother-in-law, Leslie Butler; step-son Rodney Lewis and his wife, Diane; sister-in- laws, Shirley Edmonston Scarborough and Grace Edmonston.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Florence Edna Mitchell and their son, Charlie; his second wife, Miriam Edmonston Rowell; sisters, Charlotte, Margaret and Blanche and brother, Tommy.

He served in the Navy Seabees in WWII. Chuck was a dedicated Mason and was honored by the Smithsonian Museum for his outstanding service.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m. Friday, March 27 at the Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock, Va. A reception will follow the service at the Masonic Lodge in Kilmarnock followed by interment at New Friendship Baptist Church, Burgess, Va. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
