Charles Hamill "Charlie"  Braun
Charles Hamill Braun passed away at his home on May 26, 2015. He was born in 1930 at Hastings-on-Hudson, N. Y. and was predeceased by his twin brother, Gordon, and two sisters.

He graduated from Champlain College, Plattsburg, N. Y. and worked towards his Masters in Business at New York University.

He served with the U. S. Army in the Korean Occupational Force.

Charles worked with Citi Bank in NYC in the Estate and Trust Division for 28 years and had his own Fiduciary Accounting Business which enabled him to take early retirement from the bank and continue his business from the Northern Neck.

He was an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church serving in many capacities including the Methodist Men and singing in the choir.

He served on the Board of Hospice Support Services of the Northern Neck and was a volunteer. He also worked with the Tea for Two Program.

Charles is survived by his wife of 63 years, Virginia and three children, Priscilla Woodruff of Chester; Michael Braun of Westchester, N. Y. and Catherine Braun of Richmond and five grandchildren.

He considered his contribution to the Northern Neck the erection of a marker commemorating Queenstown.

A memorial service will be held at the family cemetery in Waynesboro, PA. at a later date.
