Margaret Elizabeth Ross Caskie, 85, of Richmond and Amherst, Va. Passed away peacefully at home after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease on June 16, 2016. She was survived by her children; Donald R. Caskie, David M. Caskie, Susan F. Caskie (Cary), Daniel L Caskie (Tammy) and Katherine C. Lurtz (Matt).
She loved her 7 grandchildren, Rachel, Katherine, Walker, Cecily, Gabrielle, Isabelle and Jaden. She was happy to learn of her new great grandchild, Will.
“Maggie” grew up in Amherst, Va. She was a proud member of Tri Sigma and graduate of Radford University. She was a retired Henrico Co. teacher, then a front desk monitor at the YMCA. She was a founding and active member at St. Martins Episcopal church in Richmond, Va.
She loved her family and friends, dedicating her life to them and to her faith. Services will be held at St. Martin’s church, Tuesday June 21, 2016 at 11am.
