Robert Eugene "Gene" Dedmond, born in Cliffside, NC, October 21, 1940, died July 18, 2016. Gene, his wife, and two children had enjoyed living throughout North Carolina and Virginia; Ghana, West Africa; and in the US Virgin Islands.
A current resident of Heathsville, VA, Gene is survived by his wife, Rebecca Miller Dedmond; their beloved children, son, Robert Cris and wife Britney Bailey Dedmond of Iberis, VA; and daughter Elizabeth Ann and her husband, Todd James Nurnberger and children Henry Marlin and Madeline Cay of Boerne, TX; mother-in-law, Helen Beck Miller of Gastonia, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Kay Dobbins of Greenville, SC; Joe and Myra Stewart of Gastonia, NC; and Richard and Martie Miller of Fort Collins, CO, and his nieces and nephews.
Gene’s beloved family and friends will dearly remember his creative talents, off-the-wall humor, love of movies, and his amazing entertaining and cooking, especially clam chowder.
