Benjamin R. "Benny" Balderson, 64, of Kilmarnock, Virginia passed away on September 16, 2016. He was a member of the Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department for 30 plus years and served as Chief for 12 years.

He is survived by his wife, Robbin A. Balderson; children, Joseph Benjamin Balderson and Carol A. Balderson; mother, Eunice Brooks; and siblings, Randy, Diane, Ricky and Beth Balderson. He was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph V. Balderson.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p. m. Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock, Virginia. Interment will be private. Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. Tuesday, September 20 at the funeral home.
