Odell Stone  Fisher (Stone)
Odell Stone Fisher, 91, of Litwalton, Virginia, passed away on October 20, 2016 at the Lancashire Convalescent and Rehab Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

Odell was born in Alapaha, Georgia on January 6, 1925. She was the daughter of the late John Henry and Dosha Mae Stone.

She was married to Albert Fisher and during World War II while he served in the U. S. Navy, Odell worked on the assembly lines in Baltimore, Maryland making parts for war planes. Odell was employed by Coburn Optical in Lively, Virginia as an eyeglass lens inspector until the plant closed in 1985.

In addition to her parents, Odell was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Fisher; her sons, Gene and John Richard Fisher; six brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Harcum of Hampton, Va.; her son, Edward and wife, Bonnie of Charles Town, West Virginia; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as many other relatives including sisters in law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m. Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock, Va. with Rev. Carlton Milstead officiating. Interment will follow the service at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lively. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
