Obituary for Thomas Richard "Tommy" Jones III
Thomas Richard "Tommy" Jones, III , 72, of Ocran, Virginia passed away suddenly June 11, 2018. He was a member of White Stone Baptist Church.
He is survived by his siblings, Loretta Reynolds (Stuart), Frances Ellen Stewart (Ben), Barbara Ashburn (Jack), Beth Ober (Mike) and Julie Reed (Mike) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Harper Jones and Ruby Davis Jones.
Tommy graduated from Lancaster High School and Apprentice School at the Newport News Shipbuilding. He was a machinist by trade but having a passion for the water, he worked as a waterman for nearly 50 years.
Family will receive friends 1:00 - 2:00 p. m. Friday, June 15, 2018 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p. m. at White Stone Baptist Church Cemetery.
