Obituary for Tim Arthur Giese

Giese, Tim Arthur, Sr. died Wednesday, January 25, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents, James Huling Giese, Sr. and Bertha Odell Gill Giese and his 4 sisters and 2 brothers. He is survived by his wife Patsy Wilson Giese and his daughter Stephanie Giese Yucius (David) and his son Tim Arthur Giese, Jr. "Tag", his grandchildren Riley Adaire Yucius and Danielle Joy Yucius, his precious dog Princess and many nieces and nephews.
Tim grew up in Lancaster, VA and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. He graduated from Lancaster High School. He married Patsy on July 8, 1962. Tim worked at Noblett Appliance starting at age 19 in 1958 for 46 years. He was known throughout the community for his excellent appliance sales and great attention to detail for the service calls. Everyone wanted to talk to Tim when they called Noblett's. Tim was a volunteer fireman for Kilmarnock Fire Department starting in 1962 where he served as captain from 1995 - 1996. He was an active firefighter for many years and continued to volunteer his entire life in roles to support the carnival fundraiser. Tim also volunteered for Kilmarnock United Methodist Church. He was found every year buying for, prepping and plating spaghetti dinners.
Tim loved being a father. He enjoyed helping with school projects and encouraging outdoor fort building. Favorite memories found him on his boat pulling Tag and Stephanie on water skis or beaching on a sandbar for a fried chicken picnic. As a grandfather he enjoyed travelling with Riley and Danielle to many places like Washington, DC, Williamsburg, Yorktown and sites of Atlanta, GA.
Tim enjoyed travel and learning the history of places. He and Patsy took trips to Acapulco, the Bahamas, National Parks of the Northwest and Arizona, Alaska and Nova Scotia.
As a retiree, Tim ran a transport business called Star Watch. Riding with Tim you got star treatment. He was a great conversationalist and a pleasure to be around.
Tim was kind and caring and a great contributor to the Northern Neck community. He loved his family with all his heart.
