Avis Liptrap Smith, 88, of Kilmarnock formerly of Lynchburg died Friday, April 25, 2008. She was the widow of William H. Smith and daughter of the late Garnett G. and Mary Brinkley Liptrap. Mrs. Smith was a retired Sears Roebuck unit buying and control manager for 35 years.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, William H. IV and Faye R. Smith of Kilmarnock; two grandchildren, Tina R. Smith of Kilmarnock and Troy H. Smith and wife, Lynn of Lively; two great grandchildren, Devin and Hailey Smith.
Graveside service were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Fort Hill Memorial Park, Lynchburg with Rev. Bill Burroughs officiating.
