Obituary for Charles Raymond Burrell

Charles Raymond “Ray” Burrell, 87, of Irvington passed away peacefully on Monday, May 3rd, at his home. He was born April 15, 1934, in Mt. Ayr, Indiana, to Charles H. and Julia. Ray was a graduate of Purdue University, served our country in the Air Force, and a retired employee of AT&T.
Ray is preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Harper Burrell, and his 1st wife, Mary Jane Camerer, as well as by his parents and brother, Donald Lee. He is survived by his sister, Marcy Teany, of West Lafayette, Indiana, and his six children: Charles R. Jr., of Oxnard, California; Terri Haynes (Joe) of Prescott, Arizona; Lisa Spencer (Jeremy) of Green Valley, Arizona; John (Jeanette) of Olive Branch, Mississippi; Thomas of Springfield, Virginia; and Stephen of Irvington, Virginia.
Other survivors include nine grandchildren: Holly, Christopher, Cheyenne, Annie, Abby, William, Lucas, Sammy, and Grayson. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren: Samantha, Madeline, Penelope, Genvieve, Emma, Carter, Nova, Westyn, and Dorothy.
As per his wishes, there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers, please donate St. Jude’s or the National Rifle Association.
