Obituary for David Lewis Reedy
David Lewis Reedy, 88, of Kilmarnock, Virginia passed away May 2, 2021.
He was survived by his two daughters, Margaret Cornelia "Nealie" Reedy and Nancy Love Reedy (Jay L. Gibson) ; five grandchildren, Kathryn and Justin Old and Taylor, Hunter (Amber ) and Michael Gibson; one great granddaughter, Charlie-Anne Gibson and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. Reedy and Maxie H. Reedy ;his wife, Anne O. Reedy; five sisters and four brothers.
He was a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a post graduate of The College of William and Mary . He was a teacher and school administrator for the Lancaster County School System for 40 years.
He loved God, his family, his church and his community. This defines the kind gentle soul that he was and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Kilmarnock United Methodist Church, Kilmarnock. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-7 p. m. Friday, May 7, 2021 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
