Obituary for Edward Milton Beane Jr.
Edward Milton Beane, Jr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 23, 2022 at the age of 83. A graveside service will be held at Historic White Marsh Methodist Church on Thursday, March 31 at 3:00 p.m.
Ed was born in Lancaster, VA on July 8, 1938 to Edward “Dickie” and Emma Beane. He graduated from Lancaster High School in 1957. Edward was drafted into the army and served in the occupation forces in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1968. Following his military service, Edward returned to Lancaster where he lived with his wife Betty H. Beane and son Doug Beane. Edward worked for the Orkin and Tomlinson exterminating companies as a salesman and was the top salesman in the nation for Orkin for several years.
Edward is survived by his sister Judy Terry, his ex-wife Betty, his son Doug, daughter-in-law Mei-Li and his six grandchildren, Eleanor, Liam, Christina, Gabriel, Jessica and Olivia Beane.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ed may be made to Historic White Marsh Church and mailed to P.O. Box 24 Lancaster, VA 22503.
