Obituary for Eric Bruce Webb

Eric Bruce Webb, 75, of Reedville, VA, loving son, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Eric, a Pittsburgh native, moved to Fairfax, VA as he was starting his professional career in the surveying field, eventually building his own successful surveying business, Webb & Associates, and was an active member of the Virginia Association of Surveyors, before moving to Reedville to enjoy his retirement years.
Eric was an avid Ford enthusiast and built, raced and showed a number of cars, never prouder of his ’65 Fast-back Mustang, which he and his good friend Fred Spaulding built to race at tracks around the country. He also loved his Daytona Coupe. Eric was a member of the Capital Area Cobra Club, where he earned the nickname of “Lawn Boy,” and a member of the National Capital Mustang Association. Eric was also a proud member of the NRA and not hesitant to share his related conservative views, should anyone have interest.
Eric was preceded in death by his parents, George Bruce Webb and V. Louis Webb, and is survived by his first wife, Barbara Webb, to whom he was married from 1969 to 1997; his second wife, Kathleen Webb, to whom he was married for 20 years; his three children, Deanna Heger, Michelle Creek and Jeff Webb; and his grandchildren Matthew Nehrt, Jennifer Nehrt-Bryant (Shane Bryant) and Christopher Nehrt. He was further survived by his four younger sisters, Mary Lou Rain (Rich), Georgia Hall (Carl), Joan Caruso (Rick) and Judy Dressler (Jeff).
A mass will be held for Eric at St. Frances de Sales in Kilmarnock, VA on Friday, September 10th at 11:00 am and his burial will follow shortly thereafter at the church cemetery. Arrangements are being made by Currie Funeral Home, also in Kilmarnock.
