Obituary for Frances Marie Green
On Monday, February 6, Frances Green (Fran) of Irvington passed away with family members at her side.
Born on February 9, 1944, Fran Spent her early years in NJ, then moved to MD for most of her adult life.
She and her husband Malcolm Green (Mac) moved to Irvington, VA where they spent their final years.
Mac passed in 2018.
She is survived by her daughter Kelly Clouse (AZ), her sister, Rose Marie Joseph (MD) and her brother Charles Pigeon (NC). She also has her step children, Denise Green from MD, Chris Green from California, and Katie Poole from VA as well as 15 grandchildren.
Fran during her working career taught in high school as well as being a tutor. After retiring from teaching she became a travel agent and was able to travel all over the world, including Egypt, China, and of course Italy being of Italian Heritage.
She was very social and loved to play games. She had many friends with whom she played Bridge and Mahjong.
Fran attended grace Episcopal Church volunteering for various committees. She also volunteered at the Steamboat Museum, and most recently she thoroughly enjoyed volunteering at "Seconds Unlimited" Thrift Shop in Kilmarnock.
Memorial services will be on Monday February 13, 2023 at Grace Episcopal Church in Kilmarnock at 1
