Obituary for Francis Werring "Butch" Jenkins Jr.

F. W. "Butch" Jenkins, Jr., 73, was embraced into the arms of his savior on May 4, 2021 after a lengthy and courageous battle with heart disease.

Butch was a graduate from Christ Church High School and attended college in Richmond, Va.

Having served in varied capacities in the banking business in Richmond for more than ten years before serving on the Lancaster Board of Supervisors, Butch was a truly dedicated professional. Prior to retirement he served as Board Chairman for eight years. Additionally he was an active participant in the antique business of Epping Forest Antiques in Lively, Va.

Butch enjoyed being involved in Lancaster's deep historical roots as he was considered an expert in Mary Ball Washington's contributions to the local community. He also enjoyed being a vibrant member of the Lancaster Moose Lodge.

Mr. Jenkins joins his parents , F. W. Jenkins, Sr. and Dorothy Jenkins and his dear brother, George in eternal life. He leaves behind his niece and nephews, Karen M. Jenkins (Kelley), and Ken and Keary Jenkins; great niece, Tinslie Pickett Sprague and his beloved cats.

We love you, miss you dearly and look forward to joining you in eternal life.

A celebration of life ceremony is scheduled 11:00 a. m. Saturday, July 10, 2021 at St. Mary's White Chapel, Lively, Va. with a casual reception to follow at the Lancaster Moose Lodge from 12:00 p. m. until 2:00 p. m. All are invited to share great memories about a great person.

In his honor, donations are being accepted by the Lancaster Moose Lodge, St. Mary's White Chapel and the Lancaster Historical Society for their unique and vital roles they played in Butch's life and their long standing service to the Lancaster community.
