Harry V. Donovan, Jr., 87, of Kilmarnock, Va. passed away on August 26, 2020. He was born August 23, 1933 in Harry Hogan, Va., son of the late Harry V. Donovan, Sr. and Garnett Jean Conners Donovan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose L. Donovan; a sister at birth, two brothers ,Harry and Ray and a grandson, Michael. He is survived by his children, Donald (Anita) Donovan of Alabama, Michael (Judie) Donovan of Alabama, David Donovan of Alabama, Patricia (Dennis) Heidler of Missouri, Jennifer Denise (Gary) Hodges of White Stone, Andrew Donovan of Warsaw, and an extended family member thought of as a daughter, Regina (Tony) Helton of Alabama; 13 grandchildren;10 great grandchildren; brothers, Harold Donovan of Warsaw and Sherwood (Becky) Donovan of Farnham; and many nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed bowling, collecting arrowheads, fishing and watching old western movies.
His career included airline mechanic, prison guard, auto mechanic and state vehicle inspector and joint owner of Main Street Chevron where he specialized in front end alignments.
A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at Totuskey Baptist Church.
