Obituary for Harry Carlton Grander

Harry C. Grander, age 88, passed away on December 2nd, 2020 at Commonwealth Senior Living in Farnham, Virginia. He was a member of the North Farnham Episcopal Church.

Harry was born May 16, 1932 in Rahway, New Jersey. He was an Infantry Lieutenant in the 10th Division, in the US Army, from 1954 to 1956. He was stationed in Schweinfurt, Germany.
He lived and worked in Northern Virginia and retired from Cable and Wireless in Vienna, Virginia. In Virginia, he was active in the Sports Car Club of America and the National Association of Credit Management. After retiring, he moved to Pensacola, Florida, where he volunteered at the National Naval Aviation Museum. He was a history buff and enjoyed reading historical accounts and novels.

Harry is survived by his wife, Barbara Grander, of 47 years; his sons Kenton Todd Grander of Elliott City, Maryland and Harry Kirk Grander of Austin, Texas; his granddaughters Samantha Nicole Grander and Brittany Ann Grander of Austin, Texas; his sister, Caroline Grander Mueller, of Warren, New Jersey; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
