Hazel Roberta Johnston Shreve, 96, of Weems entered into eternal peace January 19, 2023.
Hazel was born on New Year’s Day 1927 in Brooks Hill (Upshur County), West Virginia to Sarah and William Johnston. She was one of 12 children, 7 boys and 5 girls. Family was the most important focus of her existence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Shreve and daughter, Tammy S. Revere.
Hazel is survived by her son, Larry Shreve (Vel), her son-in-law, James W. Revere Jr., her 7 grandchildren; Jonathan Shreve, Matt Shreve (Yvette), Linsey Shreve (David), Jennifer Tyson (Jeremy), Sarah Revere (Keon), Becky Smith-Norris (Dewayne), Daniel Revere; her 16 great grandchildren; Xavier, Trinity, Elizabeth, Alora, Jeremy, Jacob, Kiyah, Laura, Alyza, Skye, Bronwyn, Alison, Carys, E.J., Abigail and Jake; her 4 great great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in her hometown of Brooks Hill, West Virginia.
