Obituary

James Pelham "J.P." Conley 97 of Remo passed away Sunday March 29, 2020. He was the son of the late James Gilliam and Emily DeShields Delano Conley. He was predeceased by his sisters Christabel Virginia Kelley, Emily Gertrude Gaskins, and Lois Conley Rogers and his brothers, David Augustus Conley, Samuel Gilliam Conley, Alvah Octavius Conley, Woodrow Wilson Conley and Benjamin Delano Conley.

Surviving are his wife of 70 years Hazel Davis Conley; son; Steve Conley, a daughter Karen Harcum (Curly), all of Remo two granddaughters, Kelli Newton (James) of Fredericksburg and Melissa Harcum (Ken), of Midlothian three great grand children; Ryan Newton, Samantha Newton, and Lucas Harcum, and a sister Anne C. Bromley of Morattico.

Mr. Conley was a retired farmer and a member and deacon of Wicomico Baptist Church.
A private graveside service will be held on Thursday April 2, in the Wicomico Baptist Cemetery.
