Obituary for Mary Lucille York
Mary Lucille “Luci” York passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 with her husband Tom York at her side, she was 86 years old. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, including two younger brothers Charles and Steve Crain, several nephews, a niece, and extended family. Luci was born on October 20, 1933 in McMinnville, Tennessee to Charles Fairbanks Crain, Sr. and Annie Sue (Coppedge) Crain.
She traveled the world with Tom living in Japan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia before settling in Kilmarnock, VA after Tom’s retirement from the Navy. Turkey was her favorite. She enjoyed volunteering with the Lancaster Community Library and History Land Community Workshop. She was a member of the White Stone Women’s Club and the Rivah Quilt Guild. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the organizations noted above. Services to be determined at a later date.
