Obituary for Mildred Schwier Rogers
Mildred Schwier Rogers, 87, of Reedville, Virginia passed away September 4, 2022. She was the widow of Richard M. Rogers.
Mildred was a retired waitress and she loved to play bingo.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Abbott of Reedville, Sharon Franklin (Danny) of Wicomico Church and Janet Santley of Houston, Texas; son-in-law, Lonnie McClelland; grandchildren, Chris Kirkland, Melissa Franklin, Robin Santley, Adam Santley, Jason Abbott and Ryan Abbott; seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Emmett Schwier; two brothers, Emmett Schwier, Jr and Robert Schwier; daughter, Linda McClelland; and son-in-law, David Abbott.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m. Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment will follow at Roseland Cemetery, Reedville. Family will receive friends 6-8 p. m. Friday, September 9, 2022 at the funeral home.
