HEATHSVILLE - Nancy B. Koren, 84, of Heathsville passed away peacefully at home on March 2, 2022, surrounded by her children.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Petchenick (Stewart) of Leesburg, Va. and Judith (Chris) Guard of Lewiston, NY; her beloved grandchildren Ryan Petchenick (Christine), Brett Petchenick (Jessica), Katherine Petchenick, Hailey Guard, Christopher M. Guard; and two great grandchildren, Wyatt Petchenick and Emily Petchenick. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Roger Nicholas Koren.

Nancy was born in Salisbury, North Carolina eventually moving to Portsmouth, Va. where she and Roger met and married after her graduation from Cradock High School in 1955. They moved to Northern Virginia where she worked for the Department of the Army until her retirement. She then built her dream home in Heathsville, Va. where she lived a very busy life gardening and sewing. Nancy also joined a local quilting group and developed a passion for making quilts and spent many hours laughing with her friends.

A private Celebration of Life will be held in her honor.
