Obituary for Peggy Haynie Wilson
Peggy H. Wilson, 78, of Lively, Virginia went to her heavenly home early February 1, 2022.
She leaves behind her husband of 58 years Gene Wilson ; daughter Michelle Giese (Craig); her beloved granddaughter Madison; and brother, Donald Haynie. Also nieces Kim Haynie, Marie Hoyle and Stephanie Yucius ; nephews Richard Haynie and Tag Giese and their families as well as brothers-in-law William W. Wilson and Dan Snead, and sister- in- law Patsy (Tim) Giese. She loved keeping up with her great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Basye and Elsie Haynie; brother Richard B. (Sonny) Haynie and his wife Shirley; sister, Betsy Snead, and son Todd Wilson.
Peggy was born and raised in Lancaster County leaving briefly to live in Richmond after marrying. She returned to Lancaster to raise her family. While in Richmond she worked for Dominion Energy and after returning home she worked at Commonwealth Florist until retiring. She enjoyed shopping, gardening reading and spending time with her family.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a. m. Saturday, February 5, 2022 ay Lebanon Baptist Church, Alfonso, Virginia.
