Obituary for Robert James McIntire
Robert James McIntire (Bob) joined his beloved wife on September 14, 2022.
Bob married his high school sweetheart Carol Lewis in 1959 then promptly joined the United States Air Force, leading them to a life of military adventure for the next 22 years. While in the Air Force, Bob finished Officer Training School and earned an MBA and an MS in Computer Science.
After retiring from the military, he started a second career as a computer scientist, working on many innovative projects for the US government and private sector.
Bob and Carol were married 62 years and enjoyed traveling the world together, especially on their many cruises.
Bob is survived by two daughters Charlene (Andy) of Lancaster VA, Bobbi (Fred) of Virginia Beach VA, his half-sister June (Mike) of MI, grandsons Anthony (Athena) and Devin (Teresa), several great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
