Obituary for Thomas Earl "Tom" Conkle Jr.
Thomas Earl "Tom" Conkle, Jr., 71, of Weems, Virginia passed away February 25, 2023. He retired from Ransone's Nursery and Maintenance.
He is survived by his son, Kevin Gordon (Wendy); daughter, Jenny Kipp (Levi); five grandchildren, Caroline Gordon, Katherine Gordon, Owen Kipp, Declan Kipp and Garrick Kipp; and sisters, Anne Mae Luckham and Patricia Anne Conkle-Criswell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha G. Conkle, his parents, Thomas Earl Conkle, Sr. and Ellen Conkle and sister, Barbara Harris.
He was a loving father,grandfather and friend who was always there to help in any way that he was able. He will be greatly missed and the family has found peace in the fact that he is reunited with his wife and other family members.
Tom was a devoted life member of the Kilmarnock-Lancaster Rescue Squad and a member for the White Stone Volunteer Fire Department.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m. Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock, Virginia. Interment will follow the service at Claybrook Baptist Church Cemetery, Weems. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
