Obituary for Thomas "Tom" Ruit
Thomas "Tom" Ruit, 88, of Morattico, Virginia passed away November 27, 2022. He was a U S Navy Korean War veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Phyllis Ruit; sons, Thomas L. Ruit, Philip Ruit and Bob Ruit; grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matilda and Cornelius Ruit; sister, Madeline Ackerman and daughter, Suzanne Underwood.
Tom retired from the Finishing Shop for the House of Representatives and then started his own furniture restoration business at his home in Morattico.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m. Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock, Virginia. Interment will take place following the service at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lively. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
