Obituary for Vernon Forrest Brann
Vernon Forrest Brann, 86, of Reedville, Va., departed this life December 11, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Lawson Brann; mother, Lillian "Lillie" Elizabeth Brann; brother, Vincent Lawson Brann and sister, Elva Juanita Lohmeyer. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth McNeal Brann; son, Forrest McNeal Brann (Robyn); daughter, Elizabeth "Libbie" Brann Mitchell (Kirk) ; four grandchildren, Nathanael, Ellie, Justin and Lauren; three great grandchildren, Aiden, Jordan and Saylor; sister, Shirley Brann Beatley; special as a brother a cousin, Eugene Forrest and five nieces and nephews, Veda, Douglas, Andrea, Valerie and Felicia.
Vernon was a member of Tibitha Church of God and a member of Reedville AFAM Lodge, the Scottish Rites and ACCA Shriners . He was manager of two Menhaden Plants and a retired fish boat pilot for Omega Protein.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m. Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Tibitha Church of God, Reedville, Va. Interment will follow the service at Roseland Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p. m. Monday, December 16,2019 at the church.
