Obituary for Wanda Gail Dawson

Wanda Gail Dawson also known as Momma Gail, Momma Bear and Nana was born July 24, 1969. Gail is survived by her devoted loving husband of 33 years: Clifford Ray Dawson Sr., her children: Clifford Ray Dawson Jr., Nicholas Taylor Dawson, (fiancé Kala Campbell; her three (3) children; Noah, Emma and Madison), Jennifer Marie Clark (Jaime Dale Clark), Grandson: Ryan Dale Clark, Sister: Debra “Debbie” Lynn Dawson (Thomas Kevin Dawson Sr.), Nephews: Thomas Kevin Dawson Jr. (Morgan Elizabeth Dawson; their twins; Mason Thomas and Olivia Lynn) and Timothy Gene Dawson.

Gail enjoyed the simple things in life; she was the hardest working person anyone has ever known; she held down numerous career titles but her priorities remained within and with her family first, always. Her husband, children and grandchildren were her life. Gail was a friend and a positive influence to many, a momma to all and truly one of a kind. She would give her shirt off her back to a stranger and become lifelong friends to them. Gail was a woman of so very many talents, known for her Alabama accent, beautifully decorated events following behind home cooked meals prepared with love. Gail instilled uplifting motivational words of wisdom into the minds and hearts of everyone around. Gails favorite publicly announced quote; “wherever your heart is, that is where you will find your greatest treasure.” Gail will remain in the hearts of so many and will be missed dearly but Gail is pain free, with our God and home. This is not a goodbye, this is a closure in the words of her passed mother; Patricia Marie Auman” “bye gone, for now”.

Gail will not have memorial or funeral services. Gail wanted a celebration of life with her immediate family privately held in Lively, Virginia.

Please continue to pray for the family of Gail as they face these new challenging days ahead.
