Obituary for Wanda Mae Stull Bloxton

Wanda Mae Stull Bloxton, 86, of Wicomico Church, Va., died on June 9, 2013. She was born in Nettie, West Virginia on December 22, 1926, the daughter of the late Asa and Nettie Dorsey Stull.

After graduating from high school in 1944, she immediately gained employment with the Department of State in Washington D.C. After leaving the Department of State in 1953, she started a family with her late husband, John Bernard Bloxton, Jr.

Wanda and her husband were members of Pender United Methodist Church in Fairfax, Va. When they moved to the Northern Neck of Virginia, they transferred their membership to Bethel United Methodist Church in Lively, Va.

She is survived by her son, John B. Bloxton, III and wife , Margaret, of Catharpin, Va.;
two daughters, Janet B. Avera and husband, Charles, of Wicomico Church, Va. and Norma Jean Meadows and her husband, Berman James of Aldie, Va.; five grandchildren, Tamara Jean Meadows Bonacorda, Melissa Dyan Meadows, Kenneth Taylor Bloxton, Kathleen Bloxton, Kristen Lynn Avera Benson, ; and one great-grandchild, Ava Milan Bonacorda.

Also surviving, are sisters, Sylvia Collins of Fenwick, W.Va., Eula Stull of Richwood, W.Va.; and brothers, Fred Stull of Richwood, W.Va., Edward Stull, Eldon Stull, and Bernard Stull, all of Falls Church, Va.

Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Lively, Va. The family will receive friends at Currie Funeral Home
in Kilmarnock, Va. from 6 to 8p.m. on Tuesday, June 11.
