Tara Hottle Sanford, 43, of Lancaster passed away on August 9, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Jeanette Hottle.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Benjamin Sanford, Sr. of Lancaster; her daughter, Stephanie Felthouse and her husband, Chris and grandson, Aiden Felthouse of Lancaster; her son, Joseph B. Sanford, Jr.and daughter, Ashleigh Sanford of Lancaster; her brothers, and sisters, Michael Hottle of Annandale, Va., Shirley Testerman of Dale City, Va., Leslie Kennedy of Lakeridge, Va., Sharon Price of Lancaster, Va., Lester Hottle, Jr. of Prince Frederick, Md. and many nieces and nephews.

She could always be counted on for a shoulder to cry on, to listen without judgment and she always gave good advice to follow. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment will follow at the Corrottoman Baptist Cemetery, Ottoman. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the funeral home.
