I will forever remember Shirley's smiling face as I would enter into the Chesapeake Club after a night of babysitting to hear my Dad, John Williams, play bass...  She was so sweet to me and my Mother whenever she saw us. On those particular evenings at the Tides Inn, she would smile and seat me behind the band.  Then she would bring me a Shirley Temple!  She would chat with me and then get back to serving others! Shirley was just as graceful as she was easy to talk to.  We would always look at each other and laugh if Dad and the band really got into a particular song! Those are memories that  I will treasure always!  As a sidenote, it is very fitting to me personally that she pass the same date as my father, some 18 years ago...  It's been a long time, but Shirley, Joe, Hack & Robin were the smiling faces that always greeted me and I will remember them always!
