I first met Judge Hyde in 1973 when Smitty and I moved to the Northern Neck as we obtained his services with our moving and later years our home. I was clerk and Judge Hyde was substitute for many years and then became full time. It was an honor for me to work for such a fine individual. He took his position seriously but also had a light hearted approach with his duties. I'm truly sorry of his passing. He fought a good battle! My deepest sympathy to Joanna, children, and grandchildren. He will be missed and we will miss his stories. God bless each of you.
