Awe mommy you got cheated.  No one wrote in your memory book.  I miss you mom.  I miss knowing I could pick up the phone and call you just to ask why my recipe didn't turn out or about family history, because after all you did remember everything.  I did what you told me to mom, I came back to California to find my heart.  You were right again.  My heart was here.  I'm sorry I wasn't there to hold your hand when you left us. I tried so hard to get to you. My gut just told me my mommy was leaving.  It was just like the little voice that told me you were trapped in that body when you had your stroke.  Odd how that connection is there.  I think about you all the time.  I miss you, daddy and Chucky so very much.  You were that last person in my family that understood me.  As much as you liked to disagree with me, you understood me.  The kitties and I played the Lee Ann Womack CD you gave me all the way across country.  I don't know how you knew I'd need it someday, but it sure quiets them down.  Every time I tried to put in a different CD they started fussing and back to Lee Ann and all was good.  Bernie lost mom.

Thank you for being my mom.  Thank you for all of the dance classes, swim team, poached eggs and hot chocolate for breakfast, chicken soup, grilled cheese with the crusts off,  roller skates, ice skates, prom dresses, Christmas stockings and Easter baskets you delivered  to California and for trying to fix my broken hearts.  I wish you could do that now.
