Meade Marvin Hinton, Jr. passed away from this earth holding the hand of his loving wife of 52 years, Pat, on November 10, 2016. Meade was a devoted husband, a loving father, a dedicated brother and a loyal friend to many. He was 74 years old.

Meade was born on March 30, 1942 and lived his entire life in Brown's Store, Heathsville, VA. He graduated from Northumberland High School and went on to attend Smithdale Massey. Meade returned home to work on his family's farming and lumber business. He loved the land he worked. He continued to a successful farming career until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Pat; daughters, Susan Seiguer(Dario), Mary Katherine Hinton(Harold) and son, Meade Marvin Hinton, III. Siblings: T. David Hinton(Harriett); Martha Hinton Napier(Sandy), and Susan Hinton Farmar(Rick), Also, is survived by 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Hopewell United Methodist Cemetery Fund, 8236 Ridge RD, Lancaster, VA 22503 or Wicomico Episcopal Parish, PO Box 70, Wicomico Church, VA 22579 or the charity of your choice.

A memorial service will be held at Wicomico Parish on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 2 PM.
