Obituary for H. L. "Larry" Cullen

H. L. “Larry” Cullen, 70 of White Stone died on March 28, 2011. He was a U. S. Marine Vietnam Era veteran. During his service tours along the northern border of South Vietnam, he received the Bronze Star for heroic actions and two purple hearts for injuries he received.
After his military service he returned to his birthplace, Montreal, Canada where he taught history, played professional football with the Montreal Allouettes, was employed as a broker with Merrill Lynch and flew cargo to the Artic as a commercial pilot. He later moved to California, where he worked as an actor, assistant director and associate producer in films and television. Upon moving to Leesburg, he became a computer programmer. He retired to the Northern Neck in 2005.
Surviving are his sister, Michaela Tomlinson of Kilmarnock; a brother, Peter Cullen of Los Angeles, California.
Interment with military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington at a later date.
