Obituary

Susan Denzler Weisse Anderson, 76, of Kilmarnock, departed this life suddenly on June 12, 2020. She was the wife of Fred Arthur Anderson for 59 years. Also surviving are two sons, Gregory Weisse Anderson of Amelia, Michael Bernhardt Anderson, Sr. of Kilmarnock; two grandchildren, Michael Bernhardt Anderson, Jr. and Sophia Leanne Anderson; and two devoted cousins, Bertrand R. Hudnall of Charleston, SC and Sue Hudnall Davis of Powhatan. Susan was born in Covington, VA on April 29, 1944, the daughter of the late Bernard E and Mary Susan Hudnall Weisse, and granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. B. Ryland Hudnall of Covington, originally from Reedville. Her work experience included employment at the Covington National Bank, Reynolds Metals Company, Chesapeake Property and Long and Foster. Susan’s life was defined as one of faith and purpose. She was intelligent, kind, and loyal, and her work ethic was beyond reproach. She valued family and friends with full commitment and unwavering love. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m. Saturday, June 27, 2020 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 435 East Church Street, Kilmarnock, VA 22482. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
