Martha Worley

Barbara and I worked together at USDA for about 30 years. Since her death, I've spoken to a couple of women who were part of our "gang." We shared many stores and had some good laughs. Stories that mostly involve taking too much time at lunch and having "too much fun." I'll just say if we had worked anywhere else we would have been fired. After we retired, we found out we had mutual friends in Jewell and Lee Tolliver. The 6 of us got together a couple of times. I regret we didn't plan more of these get togethers. It is doubly sad that Jewell and Lee passed last year. Ed, I'll never forget the time you both came to Charlottesville to be with me when Jim was in the hospital there. That was so special and I'll never forget it. That is what friends do. Ed, you and the family have our sincerest condolences. May God grant you the strength and give you comfort in the difficult days ahead. God bless you, Martha and Jim
