Margaret Coles Anderson
I am saddened to learn of Dr. Van Sant's death. Although it has been forty years since I was in his philosophy class, he has been on my mind often recently. His lectures were wonderful and one of the most rewarding of my classroom experiences. As I hear more of online courses, I cherish the memory of his teaching. His lectures opened my mind in a wonderful way. You could not leave class without sharing his love for the great Philosophers,as well as knowing the true pleasure and inspiration of his teaching. I feel blessed to have been one of his students. Great professors leave great memories and influence our thinking and lives. I always remember him for exactly that.
