Lt. Van Sant
Lt. Van Sant was my platoon leader in Korea in Jul/Aug 1952. He was a dedicated and courageous officer who was liked and respected by his troops. For many marines and sailors, he is the one officer they remember from so many years ago. He will be sadly missed, yet fondly remembered at future 2nd Bn., 1st Marines, 1st MarDiv, Korea reunions.
