I feel so lucky to have attended Middlesex High when Mr. Luttrel was principal. I always felt that even when he didn't do what I was asking for-the shorts debate of the 1980s in particular-he always listened. He had a smile that was genuine and a belly laugh that resonated. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. I hope his family knows how many young people admired him throughout his career.
