Dr. Oltermann was such a fine person and physician. He was a tremendously kind and genuine human being. He truly served others so humbly and graciously. He was an incredibly skilled surgeon with great clinical judgement, and he cared deeply about his patients. As an oncologist who worked with him regularly, i found him to be so thoughtful, easy to consult with about mutual patients, and always so friendly, with a great, quiet sense of humor. The last time I saw him was at a retirement celebration in the cancer center, and he talked about his grandchildren with the biggest, brightest smile on his face. I am so sorry for your loss,
