Dr. Oltermann was the first Dr. I met after starting work at RGH. I worked weekends starting at 7am on Saturday . He Sauntered into the Radiology Dept., asking if I had completed x days on his post op patient yet.. He was not sure who I was, but after seeing that I was busy, gave me instructions of how we were going to handle his patients! I was impressed by his caring attitude for his patients, and his reasoning for his " instructions'. I always stood by what he said and told me that first morning; and it made his patients interests come first ; yet he was always ready to give you a wink if he knew you were doing your best to help him to do his job! You will be missed by many; and I am thankful that I had the opportunity to meet and work with him at RGH.
